Good Buy / Winter coat

As I mentioned earlier, I bought a new winter coat this weekend. So, while my white strips are doing their magic (I have them on as I'm writing this), I figured I will post few pictures of my coat. Plus I'm at home and I have nothing better to do. I'm off for a week from work but it is raining so hard today that it is a good day to just stay in. Plus I think I might be catching a cold. My throat itches funny and I'm sneezing. Does anyone have any good cold remedies for starting colds??
Anyway, you might wonder why I'm so excited about a coat but let me tell you... I looked for a coat like this the whole last winter!
I wanted a a little bit longer length, black, hood and it had to be a down coat. I was tired of being cold all the time since the winters in Finland are usually in subzero temperatures. Last winter there was a month when the temperature was -4 to -22 F the whole entire month (that is negative 20-30C). So in my book that is frickin' cold!!
I couldn't find a coat I wanted last year, so when I finally saw this, I had to have it! Where did I find? At the Vila store in Joensuu. Why don't we have Vila in Kuopio... It costed 99 euros, so I had to put it on credit but I will pay it off soon. And that is not a bad price on down coat. Plus it will last for many winters. Here it is!!

Soon I will write a post about hat fashion this fall and winter because this awesome coat needs a good hat. And I think I know just the right one... Wait and you will see!

  1. A good tip against the flu; put a darning needle under the nail of your big toe and kick the foot against the wall. You don’t mind about the flu anymore:).
Another one from Estonia; put a clove of garlic into each nostril before you go to sleep and remember to drink warm milk before you go to sleep. Remember the garlic has to be mild one, otherwise it might burnt your nostrils.
