Hello!
Pheeew! Finally I'm done with this crazy streak of birthdays. For some reason most of my family and friends have their birthdays in August&September. I can count at least 20 birthdays all together!
I don't buy everybody presents but I like to send a card at least. And as you know me, I like to make my own cards. That's where it gets hectic! I have so many birthdays and only little time to make the cards. Once I start making cards I can't stop. It is so much fun to keep creating different kind of cards. Many times I realize that it is way past my bed time and I'm still up and making cards.
Here's a picture gallery of the cards that I made this time. Well, this is just some of them. Maybe they will inspire you to make your own cards too. I often look for ideas from craft books or online and then create my own cards.
I saw this funny picture of Donald Duck in a magazine. I thought it would make an awesome funny birthday card.
"Your birthday? Today? O-of course I remembered"
I cut out the letters and attached them to the card with puffy foam stickers to create a 3D look.
This card idea popped into my head when I was eating a popsicle. I started to think about things that I could make out of the stick. I thought it would be a cute idea to make it into a scroll.
I found a cute poem that I wrote in the scroll.
Then I just tied a pretty ribbon around the scroll.
I sent the scroll to my niece in an envelope. She loved it!
A huge card mess on my desk.
Besides birthday cards, I also made a bittersweet card for a friend who was moving to another city. It was good for her but sad for me hence smiley/sad faces.
3D flower birthday cards. I made a 3D card making tutorial about a year ago. You can find it here.
Just a silly card with a picture of Jinx.
More 3D cards.
A lot of cards! I'm done for making cards for a little bit but I know I need to start thinking about Christmas cards fairly soon. I think I should start a card making factory (*wink*).
Happy Thursday!
