How I met your mother premiered in USA September 2005. So far there has been 6 seasons and the 7th season starts in USA on the 19th of September. MTV3 has showed the series in Finland under the name Ensisilmäyksellä but the showing time has been on Wednesdays middle of the day. I'd like to know why MTV3 thinks that this show's target audience, younger people/maybe in their 20s and 30s, is home at that time?! Most of us are at work or at school.
So why is this show so legen... wait for it... dary? First of all, you have to watch the show to get that joke. The show has so many funny jokes and sayings. Second, the cast is awesome. Ted (played by Josh Radnor) is the main character and he is telling his kids a story how he met their mother. This explains the title and allows for a narration in the past tense. Ted also has his very funny friends Lily Aldrin (Alyson Hannigan), Marshall Eriksen (Jason Segel), Robin Scherbatsky (Cobie Smulders), and Barney Stinson (Neil Patrick Harris).
I can't wait for the 19th of September to see the new episodes, so I bought myself the complete first season today. I have seen the episodes before but they just get better every time I watch them. It's like Friends, you never get bored with the re-runs. But I dare to say that How I met your mother is way funnier than Friends.
