Now it hit me! It happens every fall. The terrible urge to knit something. Don't tell me you don't get it too?? I get it every fall when the weather gets cold. I'm not the best knitter but I can make mittens, hats and scarves. I used to be able to make socks but I forgot how to do it.
This time I thought I will attempt to make a sweater for Jinx because he really needs a new sweater. My friend gave me a pattern that is supposed to be easy. It has only 2 rectangle pieces that you knit first and then you sew them together in the way that there is a bigger hole for the head and two little holes for the front legs. Then you knit a little collar and sleeves. Sounds simple!
I will let you know once I get this done and I promise to post pictures even if it doesn't turn out that great (*wink*). I think that it is good to show your mistakes as well your successions because maybe someone else will then know not to do the same mistakes. But let's hope that this turns out good and not a mistake because Jinx really, really needs a new sweater before winter.
I bought several clews of yarn. It is soft and thick wool yarn called Jambo and it is made by Novita. It is 90% wool and 10% acrylic. It should make a warm sweater. I tried to pick a manly color for Jinx, so I got his mix of blue/brown/purple. I asked Jinx if he liked the color but he just sniffed it and didn't say much.
I'll post the pattern later along with some pictures of the sweater.
