Hello!
Like I have said, I don't want to get any more older that I am right now. I might be able to lie my age and fool everybody with wrinkle creams but I'm not able to stop the world around me changing. Especially technology because it changes rapidly. There is a world with people who have used rotary phones and floppy disks and then there is a world with young people who have no clue what those things are. I happen to be in the first group. It is an interesting world we live in (*wink*).
Bit Rebels have this funny post about 10 old school gadgets that our kids won't know. For example, when you were a kid, it was normal to call a friend from a rotary phone, right? Not anymore, now kids have their own cell phones. Or how about those floppy disks? Once so common item, is now a distant history. Same thing with old type writers. They look cool but who wants to really use them. If you make an error, you have to use white-out to fix it or you must start all over again. I guess white-out is another thing today's kids don't know about. Bit Rebels also list a computer mouse as one of the obsolete objects but I don't quite agree with that yet. Maybe in few years.
You probably have already seen this one but I had to post this because it is exactly what I mean about the world changing. A little kid is already so used to using a tablet that she doesn't know how to use a magazine. If you had said few years ago that in the future we won't have magazines printed on paper anymore, most people would have laughed. But here we are. BitRebels might have to update their list soon and add a magazine as one of the obsolete items (*laugh*).
Funny stuff! I wonder what will be the next thing that will be replaced with something cooler and more efficient. I wish it would be the washing machine. I need one that picks up all the dirty laundy and then separates it. After that the machine would of course wash and dry the laundry. Then it would need to fold the laundry and put it back in my closet. What? You don't think that is very likely to happen. Well, a girl can always dream...
TGIF!!
