Awesome HotPilates Class

Hello!

I'm in a bliss! Last night I went to a HotPilates class and it was wonderful. I'm still feeling really good.

Here's more information about the class...
There were about 10 of us in the class. The room was heated to 38 C / 100F degrees.
We started with few warm up moves, just gentle body rolls and stretches for our sides. Then we worked on our core strength by doing pilates moves on a pilates roller that is made out of steardy foam. Doing execersices on an unsteady roller is very challenging and you really need to use your core muscles a lot. Pilates rollers are a great tool to enhance your work out. You can buy pilates rollers from many stores as well as from online stores. For example in Finland you can check out Pilateskauppa.

After the roller, we did few exercises with an elastic band that provided resistance. Then we had a quick stretch for our neck and shoulders. During the workout, I drank a bottle of water (0,5l) and I had a towel to dry my face because you get sweaty fairly quickly.

Once I got home, I my muscles were tired and sweaty. I ate a good meal full of proteins and I drank a big glass of milk because I have read that milk is a perfect post workout drink. In the evening I noticed that my metabolism kicked on to the high gear; I had to go to the bathroom all the time! Even after I went to bed, I had to get up to go pee 3 times. I hadn't had that much more to drink, so it really had to be because of the workout. This morning I was super hungry and my stomach was growling after I just had eaten breakfast. Amazing how just one HotPilates class can do that much to your metabolism. I'm already signed up for a new class next week. I can see how people become addicted to these classes. But that is not a bad addiction at all (*smile*). I recommend HotPilates to everyone!!

Today I have a long day at work, I don't get off till past 5pm. After that I made plans to meet up with my friend Saana to workout with kettlebells. Then I'm done with workouts for this week. I will need to start knitting something. My new Novita yarns are still waiting in the box... By the way, do you like my hair curled up? I was practising to curl my hair with a hair straightener. It worked fairly well... I made my hair into a hot mess. That's ok though because it goes with the theme of hot, hot, hot (*wink). Also, I think it is so funny that you buy a hair straightener to make curls. Ha ha ha!

Have great afternoon!!

  1. I am so glad that you finally tried it! For me hot pilates/yoga works wonders as it is one of the best ways to take care of my back and to relax myself. And there is nothing better than sweating in 38C/100F (while it´s -20C outside) and then peeling your completely sweaty clothes off. Plus afterwards you sleep like a baby! :)

By the way, I really fancy your curls. You look lovely!
