Novita Spring 2012 Yarns

Good Monday to everyone!

Remember when I got the big box of different colored spring yarns from the Finnish yarn maker Novita right before Christmas. I wrote a short post about them then because I didn't have much time due to the Holidays.

Since then I have been super busy and I haven't gotten much knitting done (*bummer*). This weekend I finally had the time to look at the yarns more closely. They have really pretty and bright colors for this spring! I can't wait to start knitting now. Here are the spring yarns I get to test out...

Huopanen is a lovely soft and warm yarn. 100% wool.

Isoveli is an easy yarn to knit many different things. It has 75% wool and 25% polyamide.

I love this green!!

Tennessee is an old Novita classic. It is 100% cotton.

Miami is made out of 50% cotton and 50% acrylic. It comes in 16 different colors.

I love these yarns with the US state names. I think I might pair them up for something fun...

They should name more yarns after the US states...

7 Veljestä is a classic yarn that comes in many colors and is made out of 75% wool and 25% polyamide. Every Finn has a pair of socks made out of this yarn. Here's a fun bright shade of yellow!

This is my favorite! Nalle Kukkaketo looks like a field of flowers.

Nalle Kukkaketo is very soft yarn because it has aloevera and jojoba in it.

It is made out of 75% wool and 25% polyamide.

I think this yarn will be the one that I'm going to use to teach myself to knit socks.

Silmu is a luxurious mohair yarn that has cute little buds of color mixed in.

Silmu is made out of 36% mohair, 33% polyamide and 31% acrylic.

Nalle is a soft yarn that has 75% wool, 25% polyamide.

The name Wool says it all; 100% luxurious soft and airy wool in bright colors!

How BAA'd  do you want to knit?

7 Veljestä Polkka yarn has different colors in one yarn that create a pattern to your knit. Only thing you need to do is to knit and the yarn will do the pattern for you. How easy is that?

Kotiväki and Virkkauslanka are both made out of cotton and they work the best for crocheing.

Hanko yarn is the choice of green because it is made out of 50% recycled cotton, and 50% acrylic. It comes in 6 earthy shades. 

Novita has some really pretty yarns, don't you think? Now I need to decide which one I want to try first... decisions, decisions! Once I make up my mind, I will definitely let you know.
