Hello and Happy Wednesday!
I know it is January and the temperature is -12C / 10F but it is still time to start thinking of summer because all the stores are bringing in the summer gear like bathing suits and bikinis. It sounds and feels completely bizzarre! But it is what it is... I can't help the fact that the stores sell summer stuff middle of the winter.
Here's me on the way to work this morning... I had to wear my thickest down coat to stay warm in the cold morning air. In my mind I was on a hot sandy beach (*giggle*).
And here are my new bikinis. I hope you weren't thinking that I'm going to model you bikinis and pose in pictures? Ha! Ha! Ha! No, I'm not that crazy. Maybe summer time but not now. It felt so weird just to try on the bikinis... It was snowing out and there I was in front of the mirror checking out how my ass looked in certain bikini bottoms. Brr! I felt so cold and bare.
Anyway, I ordered a whole bunch of bikini tops and bottoms from H&M and then tried them on at home. I only kept two of them and returned the others. I figured I will look for more bikinis from our trip to the USA because Finland really sucks for bikinis...
First pair I picked is this lovely purple one.
Close up on the bikini. I like how the fabric is textured.
Second pair I liked was purple as well. Just a different shade.
This pair had cute butterflies in the end of the ties.
The bottom is very simple and I like that.
So, both these are from H&M. I also tried a lime colored bikini but it fit funny and I looked like I was from a 80's music video. Then I had one bikini that had flowers on it but it didn't look that great either.
About the sizing... I ordered both of the tops and the bottoms (that I kept) in size 36, and they all fit good. Buying a right size of bikinis can be tricky. I used to buy too big bikinis because I was afraid that I look like a sausage in a too tight bikini. Then this nice sales person once told me that I could buy a smaller size because bathing suits stretch a little after you have used them couple times. So, always buy your bathing suits and bikinis a little snug. Not too tight but snug.
That's all for today! I hope the sun starts shining soon and that the days get warmer.
