Not sure if you guys remember the story about my dress that got caught between my bike gears last summer. That was a crazy thing that happened to me one rainy morning on my way to work. In case you missed it you can read the story here.
Anyway, it was a fairly new dress that I had bought from H&M last spring, and now it was ruined with holes and bicycle oil all over the hem.
I couldn't bare to throw the dress away, so as a handy dandy girl that I am, I fixed with some thread and a needle. I actually embroidered flowers with bird's eye stitches. They are super easy to do!
I figured that this way it was more ecological too! I was able to fix the old one and I didn't need to buy a new dress. I'm not that bad with my shopping after all, yeah! (*patting myself on the back*)
Holes, holes, holes...
More holes... and oil...
That's not a hole, it is a rip.
Here's what I came up with to cover up the holes, rips and oil stains. Little flowers.
Now the one side of the hem is full of flowers.
I think they look cute!
It is almost like the flowers were there the whole time... At least that's the story I'm sticking to... Giggle!
Now I'm all set for summer again! Did you hear that Mr. Winter? You need to pack your bags and get the F*** out of here because it is time for hot, hot, hot Ms. Summer. Yeah!!
Too bad it is February and I'm in Finland. Not a chance of summer for another 3 months...
Anyway, I wish everybody a FUN Saturday!!
