Hello, Hello!
As I told you yesterday, I invited few friends over to get together on Valentine's Day and watch the KalPa - Kärpät game. That was fun! Nothing fancy, just hanging out, talking, nibbling on little treats and yelling at the TV when KalPa wasn't doing good. I snapped couple pictures before my friends came over. I didn't want to bother anybody with pictures during the game.
Appropriate attire...
Jinx was there too, of course!
Jinx didn't want to take pictures because he was drooling over our treats for the night...
Trying to pose but the beast kept moving around...
All the Finns know these... Kisses! And not the Hershey's chocolate kisses but Brunberg's Kisses from Finland. I bought a huge box of them because Valentine's Day just calls for all types of kisses. Plus they were on sale.
Yummy Vanilla Kiss!
More chocolate!
I didn't want the night to be too sweet, so I made a cheese platter as well.
Sometimes KalPa plays like crap. They don't get anything done on the first and second period but then on the third period they realize that the game is almost over and they start really playing the game.
So, the same crap happened last night. Kärpät scored 3 goals before KalPa decided to do something in the end of the third period. On a positive note, it was good to see the new Canadian defender Ryan Glenn to play pretty good. He assisted KalPa's last goal. He was also getting puck when Kärpät tried to score on KalPa's empty net while KalPa had taken their goalie out to get a sixth player on ice. By the way... more pictures of the game can be found on KalPa's official web page.
