Spring Is In My Step

Hello!

Here's a quick post for Wednesday. I need to wake up early tomorrow morning, so I really need to buckle down and go to bed. But it is hard because it is already really light outside even at night time. So, my body keeps thinking that it is still day time even though it is time to hit the bed.

Anyway, check out these cute little coltsfoot flowers that I found growing along the road. I walked Jinx today for a good 40 minutes. We were just admiring the sun shine and the fact that nature is finally starting to come alive.


I'm also excited about these shoes I found from a second hand store today. I left work and I was just walking on the street when I spotted these shoes in the store window. I had to pop in and ask if they were on sale. They were, and in my disbelief they were also my size! I usually don't buy shoes from second hand stores because shoes tend to mold into your specific foot shape, so somebody else's shoes might actually harm your feet. Plus I don't want my feet to touch someone else's stinky foot sweat.  Anyway, these shoes are brand new. You can tell it from the soles. They have no scratches or dirt on them. Also the buckles don't have any wear or tear. I think they are a score!



Since my shoes were a find from a second hand store, it doesn't really matter if I tell what brand they are. You probably couldn't get a pair anymore even if you wanted to. So, they are not a good buy for anyone else but me. Don't worry though. Here's even better buy that everybody can get; juicy watermelon! For some odd reason I started to crave for a watermelon today. So, I had to go to the store and buy one. I only bought a little one but it is still plenty for me! It tastes sooooo good!


I cut up the watermelon into bite size pieces. I ate about a half and then I saved the other half for work tomorrow. It makes a perfect snack! Did you know that watermelons have betacarotene which is a great source of vitamin A. It also has potassium and lycopene, along with vitamin C. Watermelon is low in calories. It also rehydrates your body since it is mostly just water. 


Yummy, yummy in my tummy! Plus I feel the spring in my step with my new shoes (*giggle*).
