How was your weekend? Mine was good (*apart from my sore throat*). I attended to my friend's bachelorette party this Saturday and Sunday. It was great to meet new people (*my friend's other friends that I didn't know before*) and spend some girl time together. The weather was awesome, warm and sunny!
First we took our beautiful bride-to-be to try out pole dancing at Hytke sports center. It was fun and very tough. We were sweating our butts off and next day everyone had sore muscles. Pole dancing is a real workout and definitely not as easy as it seems in the movies!
After the dancing we were starving and we headed to restaurant Hiili for delicious steaks. Then we headed out to a holiday home that we had rented for the weekend from camping site Rauhalahti. Our rental cottage was very spacious and cozy. It was nice to relax there and go to sauna before heading out for the night.
I think our friend is ready to get married now. We gave her advise for a long marriage as well as made sure she didn't have any second thoughts about getting married.
Oh, and I have pictures of course...
In the Finnish sauna culture there is an old tradition of a bridal sauna in which the bride baths with other girls to banish evil spirits and ghosts of former fiancés. Before heading out to the the bachelorette party I made a lush big bridal sauna vasta to beat the bride's back with it. Sounds bit brutal but it is actually really relaxing!
Us at the pole dancing class. Our male teacher Jussi was awesome!
My juicy steak with country style french fries and caesar salad. YUMMY!
The back yard view from our cottage.
Kitchen-living room combo.

There you go! That was my weekend. I can't wait for the wedding in few weeks because I love wedding cake (*giggle*)!

Nice
ReplyDeleteGood to know about your bachelorette party. I am also invited to my best friend’s bachelorette party at one of Los Angeles venue and will surely attend it. Her sister will be planning the event. As she is an event planner. Very excited to be there and enjoy.
