Finnish Summer

Happy Wednesday!

Since it has been raining a lot this summer, I have a funny picture for you. This explains how it is in Finland during summer:

I'm just kidding... Finnish summer is so much more than the rain. It is also a crap load of mosquitoes and ticks (*laugh*). Ok, ok... enough of that. Here's a photo album of things that I like about the Finnish summer. I snapped these pics last weekend when the rain had stopped for a little bit.

Pretty flowers.

Yummy summer salad that I made. It had strawberries, spinach, lettuce and mozzarella. And it was topped with some extra virgin olive oil.

Wild strawberries.

Blueberries ready to be picked.

View from top of the hill near by us.

Pretty colored heathers.

More blueberries.

A beautiful butterfly that sat on our windowsill for a while on Sunday.

Some blue sky between the dark clouds.

Young cherries waiting to ripen.

Cloudberries. My sister actually took these pics because she went cloudberry picking on Saturday.

I know this has nothing to do with Finnish summer but I really, really like my new American flag pj's and I wanted to share them with you (*giggle*).

There you go! That was my past weekend. I guess I managed to do a lot since it took me 3 days to show all the pictures. I might not post anything this weekend because I'm busy throwing a bachelorette party for my friend. But I'll get back to my blog next week at the latest. Or sooner if anything exciting comes along and I can't wait to share it. Bye and have a great rest of the week!!
