Even though we are in the middle of winter in Finland, and outside it looks like this...

...I'm still already prepping for the summer ahead. January&February are the best months for sales since stores are clearing out their old stock. Knowing this, I kept my eyes open and I was able to find a pair of sandals as well as a great bag for cheap. They are perfect for our up coming summer vacation to the USA.
I needed a new pair of sandals that have a strap around the ankle because we are planning to go to an amusement park while on our vacation. I don't want to wear sneakers because they are too hot and flip flops would fall off on the fast rides. These leather and cork sandals from Ellos are perfect for all the crazy rides we are going to go to.
They are also really comfortable, so I think they will be good for lot of walking. I haven't been able to test them though because of all the snow outside (*laugh*).
My new summer bag is from Aleksi13 and it is faux leather with shiny sequins. It has a zipper all the way on top which I like a lot. Many summer bags have only one magnetic button and it sucks because when you have your bag on the floor in an airplane, your stuff can easily roll out of the bag. Zipper keeps all your belongings safe. This bag is also big enough to fit magazines inside of it.
I'm all set for summer!! Too bad we still have couple months to go before the snow even starts to melt. I'm really glad though that we have had a mild winter this year. We haven't had very cold temperatures at all and we have a moderate amount of snow. And you know what that means; it won't take a long for the snow to melt then (*wishful sigh*).
