Trip To The Warren Dunes

Hello!

And greetings from Michigan. Yesterday we took a road trip with our friends to check out the Warren Dunes State Park by shore of Lake Michigan. It was a perfect day for hiking up the dunes since it wasn't too hot yet it was sunny. As always, here's my favorite pictures from our adventure...

Stopping for treats at Starbucks along the way to the beach. Jenna got a cake popsicle.

My yummy Frappucino.

American pride.

We stopped by at the town of Three Oaks as well.

At the Warren Dunes.

My friend Emily gave us all these awesome bracelets.

Jenna trying out the water. It was super cold!

Goofing off.

We picked cool rocks and Indian beads from the beach.

We also went to walk along the little stream that goes into the woods and to the clay pit.

Scott wanted to be a monkey.

Walking through the woods was challenging and required a lot of balancing. We had to climb over fallen trees as well as walk through slippery clay.

Fresh clay mask!

The scenery was really cool. Just ask Jenna!

Goofing off again.

This is where the stream narrows down and the dunes start.

Start climbing up the dune!

View from the one of the dunes. Where's our car?

I don't want to fall down from this dune. It would take forever to climb back up.

Jenna was tired but happy after the hike.

Back down at the parking lot.

Thanks Emily and Josh for this awesome trip to the beach!!

I love this pic. I think it is so cute.

There you go, our trip to the beach. I hope to have time to go dip my toes in Lake Michigan again before heading back to Finland...
