And it is Monday morning once again. The weather hasn't improved much; it is still way too cold for July and the sun isn't shining enough (*blah*). But I'm not in a funk, no sir-ee. I had a fun weekend with my nephew. We slept in late every day, went to see The Lone Ranger (*loved it*), baked chocolate chip cookies, went shopping (*just wait to see what I found on sale*), picked berries, and just chilled watching TV. Weekends like this are necessary time to time. Anyway, I have pictures of course...

Jinx came along to pick berries with us. He didn't really pick any but he was a good watch dog. He wouldn't let anybody else to come to our berry patch (*giggle*).

We got both blueberries and raspberries.
I just had to bake a Finnish style quark blueberry pie. I made one big one for us at home and 5 little ones to give out to friends. Baking is so much more fun when you share the goods with everyone!
Under the quark topping is gooey blueberry goodness and buttery pie crust. Yummy!
