Here's a yummy and healthy snack recipe that I have fallen in love to. My friends don't seem to be as enthusiastic as I am about it but don't you let that stop you from trying this.
I'm talking about kale chips. They are super easy to make and they are filled with a ton (*and I mean A TON*) of nutrients. They taste bit nutty and their consistency is airy and crunchy.
Crispy&crunchy kale chips.
Basically you just cut or tear fresh kale into small pieces. Toss with couple teaspoons of olive oil and hint of salt&pepper (*or any other seasoning of your liking*). Next you just need to bake the kale in the oven for about 7-10 minutes at 170C/330F. Make sure you don't burn them! As soon as the edges of the kale start to brown, it is time to take them out of the oven.
Simple as that! Then you enjoy the crunchy chips as they are or as a side dish. I paired my chips with baked potato and a steak.
Nutritional dinner.
Every snack you make, every meal you bake, every bite you take, I'll be watching you.
If you didn't know 1 cup of kale contains only 33 calories and 9% of the daily value of calcium, 206% of vitamin A, 134% of vitamin C and a whopping 684% of vitamin K. It is also a good source of minerals like copper, potassium, iron, manganese and phosphorus.
How awesome is that?!? There is no reason why you wouldn't pick up some kale on your next grocery shopping trip.
Happy fall everyone!
