Hey there!
One more night till Christmas Eve (*yey*). If you didn't know Christmas Eve is the most important part of the Holidays in Finland. We eat our Christmas dinner (*ham with all sorts of casserols*) and open presents on the Eve of Christmas. We also go to the graveyard to light candles on the graves of our friends and relatives who aren't with us anymore. This way they are in our hearts even at Christmas.
To prepare for the festivities, Scott and I made one more batch of gingerbread cookies. We also decorated them. It took forever and it was way past midnight when we were done (*I'm not used staying up late*). But it was so worth it! They turned out great. We made awesome moose&tree scenery cookies instead of gingerbread houses. We gave them to my relatives as presents.
My eager helpers (*giggle*). We watched Netflix while baking.
Hearts&piggies!
Scottie had to even out some of the cookies to make them fit for our 3D scenery.
Aren't these cool?
Decorated gingerbread xmas tree.
My aunt loved this moose&xmas tree scenery.
Scottie decorated this one for my dad.
It even has moose poop on it (*its chocolate, don't worry*).
Sweet on sweet on sweet!
One for my sister. This one is female since it doesn't have great big antlers.
A big box of cookies for my dad...
...and a plateful for my aunt.
Homemade presents rock!
P.S. You can just imagine the amount of candy we ate while decorating these... We were on a sugarhigh all night long.
