Weekend Trip To The Countryside

This weekend we went to visit my dad. He lives in a little town up north of us. While the boys (my dad and brother along with my husband) went fishing, I took a walk with my step mom. We visited my aunts who live near by. They always get really happy when I actually get myself to travel to see them.
Jinx was also happy to run around free. Weather was cloudy and we had couple rain showers but mostly it was ok. The temperature was around 12C / 54F degrees.

My dad has a summer cottage that is awesome. Not that it is fancy but it has a really nice feeling there. He has this tiny wood burning sauna right by a lake. I actually went to sauna on Friday night and then swimming in the lake when the sauna got too hot. It was so great! It was dark and quiet because it is in middle of nowhere! The lake water was already cool but it felt so good. I was just standing in the water and enjoying the moment when a fish jumped right next to me. I got so scared! Not used to the sounds of countryside after living in the city so long. LOL!

But it is still nice to take time to go out to the boonies once in a while. Here's few pictures from the weekend...

My dad always grows flowers and vegetables. Here's his huge sun flowers.

I mean these sun flowers were super tall!! They are 3 meters / 10 feet tall.

I felt so short next to them.



We walked by the lake. Trees are already changing color there.


Jinx was just running like crazy and enjoying the freedom of countryside.
