R&R Weekend At Kunnonpaikka

Good Morning!

I'm feeling better this morning. Sure my nose is still stuffy and throat raspy but I prettied up my face with some make up and I start to look like a human again (*giggle*). Anyway, here's couple more pictures of my new hat. In the previous pictures I looked rather sick, so I wanted to re-do the pics. I love this color green on me!

Aren't I perky at 6.10am this morning??

But the idea for today's post was to show what fun I ended up having this weekend. I went to get some R&R at our company's Winter Sports Carnival at Kunnonpaikka in Siilinjärvi, Finland. I was so bummed out last week when I got sick because I had already signed up for this carnival. I thought I had to skip it. Well, Saturday I decided to go anyway. I figured that I might as well be sick at a hotel and enjoy the ready made lunches and dinners (all paid by my otherwise boring company). I didn't do any sports because I know that it is not good for you to exercise when you are sick.

Here's our hotel room.

My friend Klaara shared the room with me.

Gorgeous yet another cold day! This picture is taken on the back lawn of the hotel.

There were lots of different activities that you could do there. Downhill skiing, skating, snow shoe walking, even this hammer thing where you can see how strong you are.

There was also this Devil's swing where you are strapped to a swing that can go all 360 degrees.

Klaara and I didn't take part in the outdoor activities. We just took a little stroll and admired the pretty winter day.

Then we sat down and had a hot drink with some sweet bread by the fireplace.

Our hotel.

Then we went to the Spa to enjoy the hot tubs, steam rooms and saunas. We had facials as well.

In the evening it was time to get ready to enjoy a great dinner.

Besides getting relaxed at the spa, we also took part in In-Body testing that measures your body's muscle mass, fat count and various other things. My test results showed that my body needs 3,1kg (6,8lbs) more muscle. That is a lot! I need to work out more with weights and eat a whole lot more protein.

We also did a test for our body's real age but we didn't get the results yet. They will calculate them and e-mail them to us this week. In order to get the body's real age, we had to do as many sit-ups as we could in a minute plus couple other exercises (those were my only physical activities that I did this weekend). I can't wait to see what my real age is!! And don't worry, I will share the results with you guys.

Then we also had our feet scanned to see if there are any problems with our feet. We were given free shoe inserts based on the scan to improve our feet and walking. That was pretty cool too!

Overall, very good weekend!

  1. Your body´s real age.....We all know that it is 22 and has been for quite a while now! LOL
But seriously, let us know the results. I would love to have In body testing done for me as well. I know some places where it could be done but I just haven´t been bothered to actually do anything about it. But now I feel inspired (thanks to you sweetie) so maybe I´ll get it done soon. Hope you are feeling better and that you´ll be able to get back to your sports routine soon!

  2. I hope it will be 22. I will let you know. :)

I like my company for providing us with an opportunity take part in different tests that provide information about our health.

Let me know once you go to the test too!
