There are so many good things about today. For example it is already Wednesday, the official Hump day. The work week will just fly by from here. Also the spring is here. I can almost hear the snow melting away.
But the best thing today is the fact that people all over the Finland are loving Kuopio. There are many reasons to love Kuopio but the one reason right now is because the city of Kuopio is giving out these awesome badges for free to anyone who wants to show their love for Kuopio.
According to the local news paper SavonSanomat, people have been loving these badges so much that the city has already mailed out over hundred badges all over Finland. They also mentioned that especially people in the South of Finland have been interested about the badges. That is a good thing because it is a known fact that people in the South usually only love their big city of Helsinki.
I got my badge as soon as I saw that the city was giving them out. I even asked for extra ones, so I can give them to my friends abroad. I guess the city thought it was cool that I'm going to promote Kuopio to foreigners because they quoted me to SavonSanomat, and now my badge request is on their web page for everyone to read.
If you want to show your love for Kuopio, just e-mail the city (palveluneuvonta@kuopio.fi) and tell them that you would like to get a badge. Make sure that you remember to tell your address where they can mail the badge to.
Now, let's be proud and love Kuopio! After all Kuopio's hockey team KalPa won the Finnish Hockey League's regular season last night by defeating SaiPa 4-1. KalPa has one more regular season game left on Thursday and then it is time for the exciting playoffs. Good luck KalPa! Make us even more proud.
