Since my nephew Eetu came over for the weekend, I just took it easy and hung out with him and Scott. It was nice to relax and spend some family time together. We slept in late, watched tv and movies, played video games, ate good, walked Jinx and just goofed off. Here's few pictures from our mellow weekend.
On Saturday we went shopping to downtown Kuopio. Eetu bought couple hoodies, and then we also went for a little snack at a cafe. Here's Scott and Eetu waiting for their order.
I don't drink coffee, so I treated myself to Pepsi Max and a cinnamon roll.
Eetu had a white chocolate milkshake.
Scott enjoyed a glass of hot chai.
Downtown Kuopio looks horrible at the moment! The city is expanding the underground parking area as well as creating more shopping space which is great but in order to do so, they had to dig up the whole market place.
Some new structure that they have started building.
We had a movie night at home on Saturday, so I made a healthy snack plate with cherry tomatoes, carrot sticks, apple and nectarine fruit. It is always good to have something fresh to snack on. Especially since we had other treats that weren't as healthy.
We watched the movie Inception. It is a great movie, and it actually gets better when you watch it the second time around. It is such a new idea for a movie that it really makes you think about the plot. Riittalicious recommends!! Thumbs up for this one.
For the movie night we also raided the American food section at the grocery store. They finally started selling Doritos in Kuopio. They are so good every now and then.
We also got a bag of yummy Twizzlers. As you can see, there's only couple left...
For the breakfast I made oatmeal from the scratch.
I served it with frozen blueberries and sprinkle of cinnamon.
Oatmeal and blueberries are super healthy for you!
I also knitted a hat for my nephew because he asked for one. I made the hat so that you can fold the black ribbed part over the grey ribbing.
I also put a fleece lining in the hat.

That was our great weekend! Today I will just work and then in the evening I will go to a work out class with a friend. The weather is supposed to be sunny today with temperatures over zero celcius (32F). You know what that means; bye,bye snow!! Wohoo!

Sometimes mellow weekends are the best. I am really looking forward to my next one! Past couple of days have been so much fun but I did not get to sleep enough, thanks to Nightwish and Steel Panther gigs.... I feel like a zombie right now. :) By the way,I love the colour of your nails in the pics. Especially against the twizzlers bag!
