While I'm a having a blast in Stockholm, I thought I'd share news about our new tv that we got few days before our trip to Sweden. Our old tv had couple bad pixels like I told you on my post about the movie How to train your dragon, and we had to switch it for a new one.
I must admit that Samsung was really good about taking care of our tv problem. I would recommend Samsung to everybody who is thinking about buying a new tv, or phone for that matter. I love my Samsung Galaxy S smartphone as much as I like this new tv.
Anyway, I called Samsung's customer service about two weeks ago when we first noticed the bad pixels. They told us that Samsung doesn't allow any bad pixels while we still had a year left on the warranty. So, they sent a delivery company to pick up the tv, and withing few days they let us know that they didn't have replacement parts for that model anymore, and that we would be getting a full refund. After that we went to the place where we bought the tv originally and we got to choose a new tv for same value. Since we wanted a bigger tv, we coughed up few extra euros to buy a slighty bigger and better tv. And here it is now... 46 inch Samsung UE46D6755.
Some of the features:
- Flat panel display that uses LED backlighting
- Full HD 1080p
- 3D HyperReal Engine
- 4x HDMI
- Built in WiFi
- SmartTV that includes for example Skype
- 400Hz refresh rate (200Hz + micro dimming = 400Hz)
- Micro dimming (Edge LED + a software controller that analyzes the picture in 4000 different zones and adjusts accordingly. Micro dimming delivers the deepest dark tones and brightest whites, while eliminating the "halo" effect and image distortion associated with diffused light)
This tv has a a really skinny frame.
Plus it is super slim!
I mean super, super slim!
Also, the World Championship Hockey Games are starting in May. I think there will be plenty of tube time coming up my way. But I guess you can't call it "tube" anymore since it doesn't have a tube. More flat time coming up my way? (*giggle*) Anyway, thumbs of for this tv.

It’s great that Samsung refunded your money when you notified them about the bad pixels of your previous TV. I guess it was somehow meant that you get the new 46-inch Samsung TV. I like the features of the Samsung UE46D6755 , specially that it is already a Smart TV because you can use it as a computer as well with its built-in Wi-Fi. It really is impressive that it has all those features in such a slim screen.
