Travel The World / Smooth Traveling On A Train

Hello, hello!

As I told you yesterday, I took the train to Helsinki to hang out with my friend there. I don't have any pics of Helsinki as of yet but I did make a quick guide for smooth traveling on a train. Enjoy!

First, you need to wear something comfortable when traveling. My outfit of the day consisted a pair of black jeggings from Vero Moda, long white tank top from H&M, silvery sweater from H&M and pair of black boots. Chic yet comfy and practical.

Second, remember to buy a ticket to your destination and get a seat by a window for optimal lighting and view.

Then it is time for entertainment. Make sure you have something good to read. Preferably something light and easy, so it doesn't matter if you get interrupted, e.g the conductor asking for your ticket. My choice this time was InStyle magazine.

Take a break from reading and start knitting. For my delight, I noticed that I wasn't the only one knitting in the train. Many other women of all ages had their needles and yarn with them. I didn't see any guys knitting though. Most of the male passengers were playing with their phones or laptops.

This is important! Don't forget to eat because if you do, your blood sugar drops and yo don't feel good anymore. I packed my own lunch; ham and cheese sandwich, carrots and sparkling water. Then I also had bananas, apples and candy with me too; for snacks.

With a full belly it is nice to take your time to check out the views...

...and eventually to fall asleep for a quick nap.

Then you can a start all over, depending on how long your train ride is. Mine was a little over four hours, so I had some time to knit more, listen to music and even play few stages of Angry Birds.

There you go! Tips for happy traveling on a trains. My plan for today is to find my way to the Dermalogica Skin Bar for my face mapping. The scary thing is that I have to go there by myself because my friend went to work. I'm not very good finding new places in a city that I'm not that familiar with. Oh well... I'll let you know how it all went. HAPPY FRIDAY TO EVERYONE!!
