Tonsillectomy Went Well

Hello!

My surgery was a quick one and I'm back home already. As soon as I got to the hospital, I had to choose a shirt I needed to change into (*I got to keep my own pants*). I also had to take off my tongue ring which I was bit worried since tongue heals up really quick. I didn't want the hole to close up so I wouldn't be able to put the ring back in. Thankfully the whole ordeal took only an hour and a half. As soon as I woke up, I was allowed to put the ring back.

Funny thing happened... My super cute nails were actually a problem because the nurse wasn't able to read my heart rate with the little gadget that goes over your finger. My nail polish was too thick (*laugh*)! She eventually got a reading and it was fine but she told me not to look pretty at a hospital in the future.

After waking up I was allowed to eat (*ice cream and yogurt*) and I just chilled at the waiting area. The nurses kept checking up on me every now and then. I was bit cold (*as usual*) and they brought me a heated blanket. I loved it! After couple hours I was discharged and I took a cab home.

Now I'm just resting and drinking ice water. I'm not hurting too bad. My throat just feels bit sore, like when you are getting sick, but I can swallow and talk just fine. It must be all the drugs they pumped into me. We'll see how I feel tomorrow.

Oh, and check out what Scott had made me while I was gone. I thought this was too funny! He figured that I might have trouble talking, so he wrote little cards that I can hold up whenever I need something. He also got me a bell that I can ring when I need him. Pretty good idea, huh? Only thing that I'm still not sure about is that one card for Jinx... Does he know how to read?

Anyway, I'm feeling pretty darn good at the moment and I'm going to enjoy it while it lasts. I'll post an update later on this week. I'm sure I'll be complaining and howling from pain by then. Cheers!
