Gingerbread Fun!

Hello!

My mom always said that food has to taste and look good. It wasn't enough that the flavor was right, if food didn't look pretty, my mom refused to serve it to anyone. That might be a bit extreme but I do notice myself making sure everything I cook or bake looks appetizing.

That is probably why I also always decorate my holiday cookies. Every Christmas I bake and decorate a batch or two of gingerbread cookies, and give some of them as presents to friends and family. I use my sister's secret recipe that I can't share (*giggle*). It is the best gingerbread recipe ever.

Anyway, here's my gingerbread picture gallery 2013.

Before frosting.

Gingerbread love.

I was running out of counter space with all my cookies.

Moose can be green at Christmas time (*wink*).

I made the frosting from a scratch too.

I initialed some of the cookies. As well as made little people, cars and angels.

Horse and fish too!

Then I wrapped some of the cookies in cellophane and tied with a pretty ribbon.

Couple of moose to my dear friend.

My 8 year old nephew said he doesn't want to eat these because they are so cool. He's so funny!

Tiny Christmas angel bringing a smile to my friend's face.

Simple moose.

I took some cookies to work with me and this one tried to run away. He didn't want to get eaten...

He made it all the way to my calendar before I noticed and munched his head off (*muahahhaa*).

Happy Christmas baking everyone and a peaceful St. Lucia's day!
