Happy Sunday!
Today I want to share my cuter than cute Christmas sleigh craft that anyone can do. It is super simple yet looks really good. You only need a hot glue gun and lots of chocolate plus candy canes. Then you just glue them all together. Check out the pics below and you'll see how easy it is.
Use a bigger chocolate bar for the base of your sleigh. Kitkat and Ritter Sport chocolate bars seem to work the best. Then glue smaller candy bars as the bottom presents. Also use a longer piece of candy on the front of the sleigh to simulate reins. You only need a dab of glue. Be careful not to burn your fingers!
Close up on the candy and how I decided to arrange them.
Next start gluing more candy a.k.a presents on top of the the ones on the bottom. You can also glue a chocolate Santa or bear as the driver of your sleigh.
I used a piece of ribbon around the stack of presents as well. Looks more festive!
Lastly you will need to glue two candy canes as the sleigh runners.
Candy canes in Finland are bit shorter than in the States but they still work just fine with this craft.
All done! Santa is ready to deliver all the presents to the nice boys and girls.
I also put little name tags to each sleigh. This one is going out to my niece Jenna. She is getting spoiled because this sleigh has way more candy than the others plus an extra teddy bear. I guess she has been really nice and not naught at all this year.
I ate one of the chocolates and then made the wrapper into a Santa hat for the bear. Only your imagination is a limit with crafting. I love it!
Slightly less candy for someone who has been a bit naughtier (*giggle*).
Back of the sleigh.
These are so easy to put together that I got carried away and made a whole bunch of them. Oops!
It was funny when I bought all the candy for this craft and I told the cashier that "and they say you can't live just on candy". First she looked at me all weird but eventually started to giggle a bit.
Now I have my sleighs boxed up and waiting for Christmas. I can't wait to hand them out to my friends and relatives. You can never have too much candy&chocolate. And yes, I think you could also survive by just eating sweets. Well, over the holidays at least (*wink*).
