Mr. Benjamin Bear At Kuopio Museum

Hi there!

Like I said earlier, this summer has been very cold and rainy in Finland. I absolutely hate it but I still try to think fun things to do and enjoy my time. Last month I had couple weeks off from work and since the weather wasn't allowing for me to lay at the beach I decided to take my nephew Emil to the Kuopio museum. 

They are currently having a small expo about Mr. Benjamin Bear. An educational but fun exposition about a bear and his life told from the perspective of his own diary. The best part of the expo is the fact that you can actually pet Benjamin. Oh, but don't you worry. He won't bite.

I have been to Kuopio museum many times and every time I'm pleasantly surprised. The staff is so nice and the museum just has this cool old times feel with very current and interesting expos. I love to take my nephews and nieces there to learn things in a fun way.

Here's more pics from our visit. But don't just settle for my post, go see Benjamin yourself if you are in town. Mr. Benjamin Bear will be at the museum till mid October. After that he has to go to get some shut eye over the long Finnish winter (*smile*).

It was a sunny day but so very cold. I was wearing gloves to ride my bike to the museum. Here's Emil goofing off. He insisted on wearing shorts. I'm not sure how kids don't feel the cold...

We also peeked through the other permanent expos and said hi to these bears. Not sure what their names are.

There was also a drawing station for everyone to draw a portrait of Benjamin.

I just loved all the pictures people had drawn.
