Trip to Helsinki

Hello!

I fricking hate to be sick during summer but here I am. Stuck in my bed sneezing, coughing and not having any energy to do much. Only good thing about this cold is the fact that now I have time to update my blog.

Even though it has been a cold and rainy summer Scott and I have tried to make the most of it. We have been spending time with friends and family as well a traveled a bit. Here's pictures from our trip to Helsinki back in June.

Every now and then we pop in to see what's going on at the Winter Gardens in Helsinki. The flowers and plants look different depending on the season. This time many of the cacti were blooming.

They also had different kinds of puppets on display.

It might be cold summer outside but it is always nice summer inside the Winter Gardens.

Cute details.

We also took a walk in a park nearby.

Peak a boo!

Then it started to rain and we had to cut our walk short.

Next we headed to check out Helsinki's iconic amusement park called Linnanmäki.

Historic wooden roller coaster. We didn't go on the rides because it was  raining. We just checked out the area from a viewing tower.

City of Helsinki.

We didn't know this but Helsinki was hosting a samba carnival during our visit, so went to check out a samba parade they had. It was very colorful!

Later on we had a nice night of grilling and friends. Here's me with my friend Tina.

Steaks, pineapple and veggies.

That was a fun trip. I love visiting my friends down in Helsinki and just walking around the city. Anyway, stay tuned because there are more posts to come because I don't think the cold of mine is going anywhere for few days (*sigh*).
