HandMade / Spring Bud Mittens

Hello!

Here are mittens I was making couple days ago. I think they turned out cute even if I say so myself (*wink*). They are also warm since they are made with double yarn.

I made them with Novita's Silmu and 7 Veljestä yarns. I like Silmu yarn (*which means "bud"*) for two reasons; it is made out of soft mohair and it creates cute little buds in your knits. These mittens are blooming like all trees and flowers in the spring!

For extra cuteness I added little satin ribbon bows on each mitten. The ribbon is pulled through the knit and tied into a bow, so you can easily take it off or change the bow to a different color if you get bored with it.

My niece fell in love with the mittens, so I'm giving them to her. They actually fit her small hands better because I somehow made them a bit too small for my hands. I'm not sure how it is possible because I was trying them on as I knitted. I blame all the pain killers I'm taking (*giggle*). Anyway, I'm just glad I'm able to make my niece happy.

Happy Smiles, Spring is almost here!
