Good Buys / Girly Stuff

Hi there!

I have been on a savings kick lately, so I haven't really been buying new stuff, and that is why my posts have been more about free stuff like nature or exercising (*or lack of it due to my stupid sore foot*).

But as everyone knows a girl needs her cosmetics, so eventually she must buy at least the very basics. My recent basic purchases included lip balm, hair care stuff, lipstick and a necklace (*I'm pretty sure a new necklace every now and then is a must, giggle*).

Most of the new stuff I bought are brands I haven't tried before, so I was really surprised how good they are. I usually won't recommend anything easily but these items are an exception, and no, I didn't get paid to write this.

Here's pics and details...

Awesome 100% organic lip balm by BalmBalm. It has tea tree oil that not only soothes and moisturizes but also is antibacterial. Can be used on chapped lips and stubborn hangnails.

I had never heard about hair care product line called Rich but once I tried a sample of their goodies, I was hooked. Their shampoo, conditioner and especially argan oil elixir are so moisturizing. Definitely a must for hair that has been dried by summer heat, sun shine and salty sea water.

Many people have asked me if I have hair extensions because my hair is long and super thick. It is actually all natural hair due to good genes but also because of good hair products. I always make sure I'm treating my hair well. It helps to have a sister who is a hair stylist too (*giggle*).

I usually don't use much lipstick because I'm more of a lip gloss kind of a girl, but one day I felt like my new outfit called for delicious red lips (*oops, I guess I also bought new clothes*). I marched to the nearest store and bought this Lumene's awesome lipstick. It is exactly the shade of red I had in mind.

Not only is the color intense and beautiful but it also stays on really well without staining teeth.

 Pucker up!

Red lipstick is great for hot summer days. You can keep the rest of your makeup really light and just highlight the lips.

This is the new outfit that made me thought about red lips. Both skirt and the top are from H&M. Shoes are few years old. Hat is from our trip to Spain.

Now Jinx would need something red too (*giggle*).

Last but not least my new necklace from No bad design. It is a Finnish company that makes jewelry and other accessories from recycled materials. For example my necklace that is made out of an American quarter.

No bad has many cool items. I bought this one because I like the long chain, plus the American coin reminds me of all the American loved ones that I have (*kisses to you all*).

You can wear the necklace by itself or to pair it up with other necklaces. I have been wearing these two together on few occasions now.

There you go, my list of good purchases from this summer. What are your favorite cosmetics or brands? Anything you want to recommend to me?

What's New?

Hello!

Not much is new. My stupid foot is still sore and I can't walk without limping. The doctor injected a cortisone shot on it last Wednesday but so far it hasn't helped. So I'm still banned from walking or running (*blah*). They did take x-rays of my foot just in case, plus I'm going to physical therapy. Hopefully it'll be better soon.

Here's some pictures from past few days.

Ready to go to the doctor's office last week.

Getting a shot to your foot hurts so bad!

I have been so bored just resting at home. I even went through my sock drawer the other day. I found this many socks without a pair. I hate sock monster that eats all the socks...

Little medicine for my sore foot.

At least my oatmeal is smiling and having a great time (*giggle*).

Meeting up our friend for dinner one night. We biked to restaurant, so I didn't have to walk and hurt my foot more.

I'm loving the hot weather we're having right now! Finally I can wear all my summer dresses.

Giggles!

Poor Jinx can't understand why we're not going for our daily morning run anymore.

Happy summer everyone!

TGIF!

Hello!

A quick post before I run free to enjoy my weekend. I'm going to just wear bikinis and soak in the sun as much as I can. I also want to hang out with my friends.

Cheers!

Me earlier this week. Yey summer!

Happiness is made out of million little things. Like eating fresh berries (*giggle*).

It was a colder day on Wednesday and I had to wear leggings (*blah*).

I was having a crappy day yesterday but I forced myself to a kettlebell class in the evening.  It made me feel so much better!

Purple power from my walk this morning. Gorgeous!!

It's a wrap because this week is wrapping up and I'm wearing a wrap dress (*wink*).

Happy Weekend!!

Travel The World / Spain

Hola!

As you may have guessed it or even seen it on my Instagram and Twitter, I have been on a vacation. Thus no posts on my blog. This time my travels took me, Scottie and bunch of friends to Spain.
We had so much fun! I can't believe we were there only for a week because it feels like we were gone longer. We got to hang out at our rented villa, swim in the Mediterranean sea, eat good food, see small villages and check out big cities, shop, ride up and down the mountains as well as attend to a wedding.

I have a ton of pictures to share, so let's start now, maybe we're done by end of this month (*wink*). Enjoy!

5AM and ready to take a four hour drive to the Lappeenranta airport.

I like to travel in comfortable clothes.

This time we flew with Ryanair.

Way too excited at the airport.

Haha! We're flying off to Spain and you are not.

Cool mountains.

Spanish coast line.

Driving to our villa in the small city of Sils.

Our bedroom at the villa.

Living room.

POOL!! POOL!!

Outdoor terrace and one of our friends.

How cool is this view of our backyard at the villa?!

Outdoor dining area and a grill.

Kitchen.

Girls excited about the villa.

One of the bathrooms.

Bikini season!! Finally.

Back yard.

Nice dip in the pool and then some relaxing in the sun lounge chairs.

The villa was surrounded by a private forest.

We took a walk in the forest and found huge pine cones.

Road to the villa.

Front yard.

Enjoying the warm evening.

Next morning I ate a yummy breakfast outside in the sun. Awesome!

Ready to venture out to see the local sights. Rosa is looking like a real tourist should look like (*giggle*).

Katri and one of our rental cars.

That's part one of my pics. Way more to come as soon as I have time. Stay tuned!
