It has been a while since I have last posted anything about hockey but that doesn't mean that nothing's going on. There is always little something something in hockey.
First of all, KalPa's awesome goalie Ari Ahonen is going to go play at KHL in Russia. He has been sold to Metallurg Magnitogorsk. That is a bummer because Ahonen has played very well this season. He has been the back bone of KalPa with his outstanding save percentage of 94,16%.
Ahonen will be replaced with Mikko Koskinen who has played in AHL for past years. He has been trying to move from AHL to play in NHL for the New York Islanders. We wish the best luck to Ahonen and warm welcome to Koskinen!Second, I just bought tickets to go see KalPa-Saipa game on the 25th of this month. Saipa hasn't done all that great and they are third to last as of today. But the game still should fun to watch. Nothing beats the feeling of a live game at the rink. I will definitely post some pictures from the game.
Third, the official Hockey World Championship games 2012 mascot has been revealed. The mascot is called the Hockey bird! How funny is that? The company behind the hockey bird is Rovio Entertainment Ltd. It is not hard to guess that they also are the ones who created Angry birds. To read more about the mascot, Finnish lions and the 2012 games, visit the official Finnish lions' website (only in Finnish).

That's all about hockey for now. I'm off to my kettlebell class once again. Gotta keep myself in shape (*smile*).
Have a happy Monday night!
