Travel The World / Oliver Mansion In South Bend Indiana

Hello, hello!

Finally some time and energy (*jetlag is a bore*) to post more pictures from our awesome vacation to the USA. Today's pics are from a visit to an old mansion (*built in 1895-1896*) in South Bend, Indiana. The mansion is called The Oliver mansion since it used to belong to Mr. & Mrs. J.D Oliver and their family back in the day. Oliver Mansion is now owned and operated by Center for History. 

We took a guided tour through the mansion's 38 rooms and got to see how the mansion appeared during the 72 years the Oliver family lived there. Too bad you are not allowed to take any pictures inside the mansion, so my pics are only from the gardens surrounding the mansion.

Gorgeous flowers everywhere.

After seeing the pictures of the pretty gardens, you can only imagine how beautiful it was inside the mansion. Oak, cherry and mahogany woodwork are found throughout the Oliver Mansion and all the furnishings are original. Pretty cool, huh? If you ever in South Bend, you should definitely stop by at the mansion.
