*The Ingman Ice Cream Group, which is a wholly owned sub‑group of the Ingman Group, is a Finnish food industry group. The Group has been systematically developed into Finland’s leading domestic manufacturer of ice‑cream.*According to its business idea, the Group concentrates on products that are safe, taste good, and maintain a high standard of quality.
*Ingman Ice Cream operates in almost all ice‑cream segments, and the company has been the first to introduce several new products to the Finnish ice‑cream market, e.g. packaged ice‑cream cones, giant ice‑cream cones, premium ice‑cream, functional ice‑cream, and soya‑based ice‑cream.
*The head office and sales operations are concentrated to Sipoo, Finland, but there are a number of stores and delivery terminals in various parts of Finland. Ingman Ice Cream also has a comprehensive sales and distribution network in the Baltic countries.
Then to the tasting! Our test group had 6 people from the ages 13 to 31. We had 4 boys and 2 girls. Before we started we talked little about criteria for good tasting ice cream. All of us agreed that ice cream is always good. It is like pizza. You won't turn down ice cream or pizza if offered. Most of my friends also said that their favorite flavors were the simplest ones like chocolate or vanilla. We agreed to score each ice cream on the scale of 1-5. One being the lowest (basically still good since we are talking about ice cream) and five being the highest (I guess five would be superb and heavenly).
Here are the ice creams, short description, score and comments from the tasters. Ice creams are in the order which they scored in.
4th place:
Name:Elmerin jädepoksi lactose free strawberry-marshmallow 1 L 503 g / 1000 ml
Description: Lactose free strawberry flavoured dairy ice cream, sour sauce and marshmallow. A fun ice cream for the whole family since it is lactose free.
Score: 2,5 Name:Elmerin jädepoksi lactose free strawberry-marshmallow 1 L 503 g / 1000 ml

Comments: Very sweet, marshmallow pieces are a surprising addition to ice cream (*I guess our taste pallets were not used to them yet because no one else hasn't combined ice cream and marshmallows before*), summer flavor3rd place:
Name: Ingman light vanilla-strawberry 0,5L
Description: Vanilla ice-cream and strawberry sherbet. No sugar added. Ingman's product Manager Ms. Katja Aho tells that this sugar free ice cream was off the stores for a while but by popular demand from the consumers, Ingman brought it back. Besides just being sugar free, it also has very low carbohydrate count, so it is a great choice for people on low carb diets.
Score: 2,6

Comments: Refreshing and light tasting, strawberry sherbet gives the flavor a nice tanginess, people who are not used to sugar substitutes can taste aspartame2nd place:Name: Lemon-liquorice 1 L 505 g / 1000 ml
Description: Lemon dairy ice cream and liquorice sauce. According to the Ingman's product manager Ms. Katja Aho, Lemon-liquorice is one of the most popular flavors for ice cream scoops sold at the Ingman ice cream kiosks. That is why Ingman decided to make it into a take home package as well.
Score: 2,7

Comments: All of our tasters were a bit reserved about this flavor and thought it would taste weird but we were wrong because this combination was actually good. This tastes like a liquorice cancy bar with lemon filling. Fresh.
AND THE WINNER IS......Name: Ingman Creamy English toffee and salted nuts 0,9L, INTO, 495 g / 900 ml
Description: Low lactose vanilla dairy ice cream, brownie-caramel sauce, English toffee sauce and salted nuts. Creamy-series has altogether 7 smooth and creamy flavors including this new English toffee one.
Score: 3,6Description: Low lactose vanilla dairy ice cream, brownie-caramel sauce, English toffee sauce and salted nuts. Creamy-series has altogether 7 smooth and creamy flavors including this new English toffee one.
Comments: You can't go wrong with toffee. Very sweet. Everybody loved the nuts and wished there were even more of them. Yummy!
Final words: This was a fun project to do! All the ice creams were good but we were able to vote the English toffee&nuts to be the best. I guess the dark fall nights call for more richer and sweeter flavor. I do recommend you to try these flavors as well and make your own opinion. And definitely don't prejudge anything. We really thought first that the lemon ice cream would be bad and we were a bit sceptical about the nuts as well. But as you can see, we were totally wrong!
So, next time when you are bored and you have nothing to do, call your friends and tell them each to buy an ice cream pack and gather up to your place to taste which flavor you like the best. This is fun for all ages!

Aika herkullinen testi, tuo Enlantilainen toffee-suolapähkinä pitää kyllä itsekin kokeilla! En kyllä ollut tiennyt että ingmanilla on myös kevyt jäätelöitä, se pitää myös testata.
