Read Me / 1001 Ways To Stay Young Naturally By Susannah Marriot

Here is the other book about nutrition that I mentioned before. It's written in English but they have it in Finnish as well (Pysy nuorekkaana luonnonmukaisesti - 1001 vinkkiƤ, Gummerus). It has actually good tips for nutrition and healthier lifestyle in general.
I want to stay young looking as long as I can but I'm not keen on going under the knife. So, this book had me already at the title but when I opened the book and started to read it, I understood it was really more about your lifestyle and staying in shape and in good health all together. The good looks is more just a side product of living healthy!

Here's the cover:

This book is written by Susannah Marriott. She is a freelance writer who specialises in complementary health, parenting, green issues and folklore. She is married and has children.

This book has 192 pages and it is easy to read because it is divided into sections like eating naturally, rejuvenating exercises and natural beauty.

Each section is then divided into little tips that are in a number order. It also has lots of pictures.

Tip # 110, Pack Your Lunchbox
Ditch the sandwich counter and start making up your own lunch box. It might include:
-cottage cheese with walnuts and chopped dried apricots
-homemade hummus with broccoli florets, slices of red pepper and carrots, celery sticks, cucumber and cherry tomatoes
- kale coleslaw, with graded apple and carrot
-open sandwiches with dark rye bread
-avocado: slice in half and add splash of balsamic vinegar
-iron-rich watercress soup made with a little onion and potato

I like this book a lot! It is so simple to read that it makes you want to try all the tips. It also has recipes for homemade facial masks and directions for oil baths for your fingers and toes. I need to try those.

In the end of the book is also a great section about good sleep. I want to write a post about that for my blog in future. It is really important for your health to sleep well. I love my naps and a good 8-9 hours of sleep at night!

I used to borrow the book from the library all the time but now I have my own copy in English. I found it fairly cheap on Amazon UK.
